All silk used in Olivia von Halle garments has been produced exclusively for the brand and therefore strict chemical standards must be adhered to. Olivia von Halle works closely with a Regulatory Affairs Consultant who ensures that everything used in the production of its fabrics are safe and approved for global use.
Olivia von Halle personally oversees all production for her brand and spends around one month a year at its suppliers’ factories in Hangzhou, China. These personal visits mean she can guarantee that production has been undertaken in an approved factory and not outsourced to another location that may not meet the rigorous standards set.
In recognition of this, in 2013 Olivia von Halle was awarded the ‘Blue Butterfly Trust Mark’, which is given to brands and companies that have a positive impact on people and the planet.
“It is a privilege to work with a company that takes such pride in establishing responsible production throughout their value chain. Olivia von Halle’s commitment to integrating a positive impact with luxury craftsmanship is most definitely something to be applauded and learnt from,” says Founder and CEO of Positive Luxury, Diana Verde Nieto.
